screenshotHi, I'm Kable from kabomb.net and I made all the flash games over there.

I've decided to write a blog covering the development of my upcoming game, Chamalien. It's one of my biggest game's yet and I want to get everything just right before I release it. You can play the latest version here, and please leave some feedback, who knows your idea might end up in the game!

Game Mechanics

The game is a 2D side-scrolling platformer where the aim is to collect all the coins in each level. Yeah it's quite original, i know. But the mechanic the discriminates this game from other marioesque games is that you turn into the material that you last touched. So if you land on grass, you turn into grass. If you wallslide on stone, you turn into stone etc. You can also throw objects made from that material using the mouse. This opens loads of puzzle possibilities. For example, you can spray water at dirt to grow grass, so you can burn the grass with fire, which burns some boxes so you can get through to the next part of the level.

There are plently more material types already made and to be made, and if you have any ideas, give them to me!
The game also has cliché platformer features - air-jump, wall-slide to wall-jump, kryptonite youmust not touch etc. So it's new mechanics within old ideas.

Go play it! and then leave some feedback.
